SEWA-AIFW is a nonprofit organization committed to serving, supporting, and enhancing family wellness for the South Asian community, especially the vulnerable and underserved, in the Twin Cities and around Minnesota. We provide health care access, wellness information and resources, access to family violence resources and supports, and elder socialization activities. We envision a South Asian community that is healthy and violence-free, with self-determined women and engaged and supported elders and families.

"Ummid" means hope, expectation, or belief in Hindi and Urdu. SEWA-AIFW is honored to host our second Annual Art and Book Expo, during Sexual Assault Awareness and Child Abuse Prevention Month in April. As a South Asian organization committed to preventing gender-based violence across our communities and diaspora, we are hopeful to create a warm and supportive space for our community members and survivors. We will celebrate ourselves and our community through mediums of art, writing, and immersive healing experience. We will be hosting art and writing vendors along with South Asian music performances and speakers who are direct service providers.

We are hosting this event on Saturday, April 21, 2024, from 12-4 PM, at our office, which is located at 6645 James Ave N., Brooklyn Center, MN 55430. This event is free to all community members, but registration is required to keep track of seating capacity and social distancing protocol. We plan to have light refreshments at the event.

**We have limited space and tables for vendors, and we may request you/your organization to bring your own table for the event. Please contact aarti@sewa-aifw.org if you have any questions.**

**There is no guarantee that you will be able to vend - we have a small space that can only host so many vendors! Please note that we are prioritizing South Asian survivors of gender-based violence, but we encourage other BIPOC community members and survivors to apply!**

Please be advised that the general registration is located on a separate form: https://forms.gle/qs4iW6AzwrCxsExs5
